I'm looking for a 24" pan and box brake and I noticed that Baileigh has a 24 inch they claim will bend 16 ga.
Anyone have experience with this bender or Baileigh?

If you’re not in a rush, definitely wait for a Pexto.

Every single thing I have ever used from Baileigh was an absolute *************. I will not ever buy one of their products unless I have no other choice.

I cant speak for that bender but a lot of what they sell appears to be the same import stuff available from Jet/Shop Fox/Grizzly while others are actually rebadged american made gear. I would say that break is the former.

I do however own a Baileigh magnetic break that has been awesome. Its a different class machine than what you are looking for, but I would recommend it to anyone. Its an import, but comes with a pile of tooling, has unlimited box depth and closed shape capability. I have not had any problems with it, so I cant speak for CS but I ordered it at 3 in the afternoon and I got a call the next morning from the shipping depot that my order had arrived. I was shocked. They go on sale once a year for 25% off around this time of year, I paid $1700 when I bought mine. I am guessing the price is up due to the import tariff. Their instagram linked below is a good showcase of the unique capability.

It may be hit and miss with Baileigh. I have their 2x48 belt grinder that is a knock-off of the Jancy RadiusMaster, The Baileigh version is every bit as good as the Jancy. The Baileigh RDB-250 pipe bender is made in the US and is one of the best pipe and tube benders I have used but it also a case of you get what you pay for.

As far as brakes go, Baileigh's offerings are asian imports and they are what they are. I personally have a Tennsmith brake and while I think it is a step above the imports, I would jump at the chance to replace it with a Pexto if the price was right.

Pexto (Roper Whitney) and DiAcro will be your best bet for a high quality 24" finger brake.

I concur with avoiding Baileigh, with the exception of their RMD made tools (the yellow ones and tube benders). For the vast majority of the tools and equipment they sell, they are simply spec'ing the paint color, and adding their sticker once it gets off the boat.

Without knowing your budget or expectations, its hard to say if you will be satisfied with a Baileigh tool.
