I know this is a garage message board but I saw some very helpful threads about epoxy flooring full of knowledgeable posters and I am not finding useful information elsewhere. I am setting up a bakery and I need to protect the floor. If a flooring can survive a car being put on it it can survive my baking equipment. At the moment I have a Concrete floor covered with about 2cm of what I think is a levelling screed. It's very soft I can scratch it with my fingernail and it is not very absorbant. I want to cover it with something that's smooth (easy to clean) and hard enough that I won't destroy it throughout my tenancy (5 years). I'm in the UK. I got a quote of £5,000 from ecoflor to cover it in a commercial grade epoxy. I was hoping to spend a few hundred pounds and a days work on cleaning, preparing and the coating the floor. Maybe giving it a second coat.
Can you tell me what flooring product I should be using? Thanks
