Balcony joist question

I am replacing some boards in a balcony and I wanted to ask specifically about the ends of the 11 joists that protrude.
The outer edge of the balcony had the most water damage.
Everything is pressure treated but as we know that doesn’t mean it’ll last forever.

Anyway before I put the face board on I wanted to maybe get a consensus on the best way to help treat and keep the outer most ends of those joists healthy and fend off water damage for longer.

I am thinking of brushing on used motor oil…

Tung oil! 12 coats, no less, letting each dry 48 hours!

And definitely put that deck joist tape on them. Or maybe better rigid deck joist cap.
