Just picked this up from Kijiji, runs smooth and came with the stand. For $75 how'd I do? Looks older, planning to clean it up with a new coat of paint.

Any ideas what paint color matches up?

Granted, you didn't ask for opinions on the paint but I'd leave it alone. It has that classic tool look and painting it won't make it work any better or make it any more valuable.....but, it's your grinder so it's up to you.

I might just leave it and give a coat to the stand where there's a bit of rust. Glad I managed to pick this one up, in Canada they seem to be a bit harder to come by.

That's a great grinder. I don't know if that is the original color, but it reminds me of an old Ford color....medium blue metallic....circa 1970.

Great find.

that thing is great. the best grinder I have ever used. I got a 1/3 with no pedestal for a lot more, and it only has 1 wheel cover.

That's a sweet little grinder. I have one almost exactly like it. Are your guards drilled and tapped for side covers?

Yes - drilled and tapped but didn't come with any.

From a little research it looks like the bottom line tells me it was manufactured in February of 1950. Pretty cool to think it runs smoother than my newer import grinder - and will outlive it no doubt.
