Baldor 1.5 Electric Motor Wiring Help Request

Thanks in advance for help. Have not wired electric motor before.

Will run on 115 volts, not 230.

Question: see photos. Is line 1 hot or neutral for low voltage wiring?

Nice motor. To answer the question - it doesn't matter which way around you connect it.

Agreed, some motors will specify what lead is the ungrounded line (hot), this one does not so either one is fine.

Thank you very much! Sure enough, works great both ways.

I appreciate the compliment - I'm proud to own it. I got it for a song on my local craigslist and look forward to fashioning a belt driven buffer or grinder from it.
