Baldor 500 Tool Grinder

Just got back with this one... Overall it is in good shape. Missing one tray and one table is notched for the wheel bolt. The water cup is also not original and does not have the valve to drizzle coolant.

Luckily my HF model is an almost exact copy so I can use parts from that one to fix it up. I was surprised to find Baldor diamond wheels on it which apparently are not cheap. I'm not sure how to judge wear on these but I'll take a closer look soon.

The stand seems to be fairly unique but definitely looks original. It is heavy and I think there used to be side panels on it. If anyone has a stand like this one please post some pics. I think $175 was more then fair for this one. I got the HF last summer but I've been looking for a vintage one for a couple years now.

Found a couple examples of the stand on eBay. Looks like only the tool grinders got this type for some reason.

So all the table parts, trays, cups, guards and flanges are interchangeable with HF. I swapped over the tables so I can use the HF miter and the trays just so they match each other.

I'll keep the OG parts in case I ever find a Baldor miter to use. I put on my Shars cbn and diamond wheels... I'll probably sell the Baldor wheels if they have value.

I was going to swap in a Vimco lamp to keep it looking vintage but this Moffett lamp is awesome. Any spot you want it, it stays there without sagging. This tool requires light at extreme angles so it is perfect.

Thats a beautiful machine and a great deal on any Baldor grinder. I see them typically listed for $300+.
