Not a good price at all. This would be a lower end Baldor, while still good, it has the lower end eye shields, stamped steel tool rests, as opposed to the higher end forged ones.
The MSRP on the CURRENT model equivalent is $326.

And more realistically, it sells for about $260.

I would maybe pay $100 for it.
$250 is ridiculous.

Aside from the price, 1/3 hp is not enough, you need 1/2hp or above, so it is really low end. Keep looking, for the older models.
1/3HP Baldor has plenty of power for a 6" grinder. This isn't a HF unit where the power spec has been liberally bloated.

ALL: 1/3 Baldor will be hard to slow down and might last a lifetime at a guys home garage or shop. they were meant to run 24/7 for commercial use.
that said I think you can buy a new 1/3 HP for $250 because I can buy one for $180 on Craigslist today here that is just missing the tool rests and shields that is brand new.
Can they be bought new?1/3HP Baldor has plenty of power for a 6" grinder. This isn't a HF unit where the power spec has been liberally bloated.
