I've been keeping my eye out for a quality grinder and this popped up. It seems a little high to me, but I don't know what kind of value the matching pedestal adds. He's asking $350 and states it is from 1972 and the stand alone is worth $700. What say you?

$350 is a FAIR deal. Would i pay it? No. Especially missing the left tool rest, both shields, and one spark arrestor. Maybe he is flexible on the price. If you go look at it, look for end play on the shaft, any vibration while it is running, etc. they are stupid simple to rebuild with fairly basic tools.

Half horsepower?

It's missing a tool rest and needs guards.

I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it, but there are those who would. $350 is everything it's worth and a bit more.

Show up with cash and start counting it in front of him.

That's what I was thinking too. His value of the stand just threw me off. Thanks for the help fellas, think I'll keep on looking for now!

That's top dollar he wants.
To be $200 tops if you want it and $150 is a good deal
