it's 1/2 (.5) hp, so kinda small for a compressor. Looks like it might also have a brake on the fan end.

Thanks guys, I have it listed on craigslist. What do you think I should be able to fetch for it?

Is there a tag that lists the gearbox ratio?

New, its a pretty expensive setup, motor/brake/gearbox, maybe even a slip-clutch (?? by the hex nut on the inside face of the sprocket). I would guess its a $1000 setup bought new from Motion Ind or Applied Industrial Tech.

But someone would have to be looking for just the right thing to fetch a high price. I would see if you could get $100 for it.

It would make a hell of a good axis motor for a bridge crane runway drive. :D

Thats a pretty limited interest item. You would have to sit on it for forever and deal with extended CL drama. Any motor is worth $100. Baldors are sweet. Personally, I would go for fast sale. One in the hand and all that.

It would make a helluva chicken carousel if thats a 40:1 or 60:1. A 16 ft Hawaiian rotisserie trailer would be extra cool. Feed 1000 of your closest friends.
