Been considering some new locks for the house and leaning towards the Baldwin Presige Series. Friend has a set on his garage and I must say they are well made and fit perfectly. Bump proof and pick resistant are a plus. I like the large key and the heavy construction. The smart key technology is really convienient since I could change keys every few years instead of buying new locks.

Anyone have experience with these locks. Thanks

Baldwin 'Prestige' is their budget line, made overseas. If you want quality locksets, get Schalge or Baldwin, but buy it from a locksmith instead of Home Depot.

Smartkey is garbage and they will fail. Buy a real pin tumbler lock, if you are that concerned about picking and bumping, a locksmith can install high security cylinders.

Finally a question I am qualified to answer. My family owns a door and door hardware supplier.

First, all Baldwin is made outside of the united states. Parts have been for a long time but since kwikset/stanley took over all of it is imported, at least the functional components.
Smart key is bump resistant but we get a lot of call where someone has used a large screw driver to bust it open.
Most all pin and tumbler locksets sold today have mushroom or spool pins to make them bump and pick resistant.
Emtek while imported is a well made product, most of their product line is made in Mexico.
If you're willing to spend a little more money, Schlage A and AL lines are great products.
