Ball Pein vs. Drilling vs. Engineer's Hammer

Speed bump. ^^^ I actually have one of the hand drills you mentioned for rock climbing and I've always use it with a 3lb estwing drilling hammer. Of course that was before cordless rotary hammers were readily available.

I use that same hammer for masonry and pounding stakes it just a good weight in a small package....


In the shop on punches and chisels I like my 3 snappy deadblows 2 ball peins a 16oz and 40oz and a 24oz flat bronze face.

Your supposed to use a ball peen for punches and chisels also the appropriate size or corresponding size as a safety caution for some reason. I think it's listed in the snap on catalog under tool safety. I just use whichever ball peen as I have only 2 snap ons 16 and 40 oz and a Mac 12 oz and a couple hf I don't use. Should be fine using any just not too big on a tiny punch as it will bend or break the tip.

My guess is that harping about how new a topic is would be some kind of marketing tactic, all else being retarded that way (and to say it's my fault that you're harping, see, retarded). I'm not calling anyone names though (stop, hammer time).

The drilling hammer is for use with "star" or spade bits and drilling in rock/boulders. Ball pein flat is soft so when the chisel is struck it does not deflect. Never use a claw hammer as the head is hardened specifically to drive nails
