So as best as I can tell this is a great option for those who don't want a colored floor, but need something durable?

I want a white floor. So this looks like it wouldn't work unless I put down my Polyurea (white) and then top coat it with the Basllistix. Is that an accurate assumption?

Hi,
If you want a white floor then yes, you need to use either white polyaspartic, or white epoxy with white pigmented urethane topcoat (white urethane protects against yellowing). We carry both of these. If you want extra protection on the white from tire staining and such, then Ballistix would be an excellent choice. Polyaspartic can be coated with Ballistix as soon as it cures which is normally a few hours. Urethane though would need to cure for up to a week before coating with Ballistix.

Hey Armorpoxy, another dumb questions...

Can you clarify which pictures are NCO vs Squire? On the site, both products have the same set of pictures, and I'm not sure if I've ever seen NCO in a picture, because most of them look pretty glossy.

Thanks again, plan to order soon for my build completing in a month

@Armorpoxy, do you have any good photos of hard troweled floors that just had the cleaning done with a red pad then applied Ballistix with no grinding? I’m considering going this route and want to make sure I have the correct expectations. TIA.

Here you go BoomBiscuits.
Just finished, Troweled, Red pad, 8400 sealer with Squire BallistX
My first time for such a project and had no real surprises. ArmorProxy was extremely helpful answering my questions.8FF4BA61-9A57-4BFD-8770-757ACD0CFA58.jpeg
I love it
This is perfection. Just finished mine last night. My concrete doesn't have as much color variation to it, which is fine, but yours sure looks cool! Loving the Ballistix option! Stuff seems bullet-proof which is all I wanted.

Yes, please post some pictures. Mine doesn't have a variance in color as well. I'm curious to see how yours turned out.

Thank you for the update. The temp sticker is really not super critical, as long as it gets 'hot' and then cools down, its working fine and is reacting properly. Floor looks great !

I never topcoated my epoxy floors. They are a year old now and still look good, but I wouldn't mind the extra protection, and gloss....

Can I still use a sanding screen to scuff and topcoat with a high solids epoxy in 10 or so years if I use your product?
Will my autoscrubber with a brush wash your product away?
Do you have any photos of a Ballistix topcoated coated epoxy floor?

Looking to get a solid-ish color, light gray floor. Any recommendations for what to use as a color coat under Ballistix? I would like to color coat to stay under $1.00/sqft if possible. I see H&C Colortop mentioned earlier, would that work? Better options?

I think in one of the many posts, perhaps different thread, you had mentioned a single part, more expensive version coming out shortly. Is that still the case or did I misinterpret?

Thank you.

What sort of prep would I look at on a floor that's not sealed and has been used for auto service? Is this an option in that case?

Some "clean" floor, some oil stains, 1500sqft

Hi Ballisitx would be a great choice for an auto shop. The floor though need to be clean and absorbent so any oil stains would need to be removed fully. Grinding can often help with this.

We sell an Oil Eater microbial product that dwells in the floor and works well to get up residual oil, not listed on our website so contact us directly for info.

Test the floor by dribbling water droplets and see if they absorb in to test any areas of concern.

Where would I order this in Canada? Just from the US site or is there a rep/dealer in Canada?
Thanks

Your website won't load half the stuff. How much is shipping to 99654?

Please always call us first directly not on GJ for individual customer support or any issue or technical question as GJ is not continuously monitored by us!

Leevon, we spoke to Fedex once you called here as we, as the shipper, were able to get them to deliver to you tomorrow without the signature. Again, always best to contact us directly for any order issues. Thank you!

I appreciate your assistance. I took the day off to intercept the shipment due to the signature requirement. But in the afternoon Fedex called and said it had been unloaded that morning at their depot for pickup 🤷‍♂️. I made a 50 mile trip to pick it up in the evening. I think that was all avoidable...but it's all good the product is in my shop now.

Looking forward to finishing the floor!

Ok thank you for the update and our apologies that you had to expend the extra time/energy/fuel. Normally, as the shipper we can redirect things once shipped.

Unfortunately it's performance is not on par with it's looks. Brake fluid, water, coolant, engine oil...all soak in to the concrete. Here's brake fluid. IMG_3154.jpg

Bummer. I heard of scratching and initial adhesion issues, but this is the first I've seen of penetration. That right there is enough for me to go another route and get back on the U140 bandwagon.

Hi what appears to have happened here is that there were pinholes or outgassing where the coating did not fully cover the surface and the liquids migrated trough the holes. These types of issues are harder to see with a clear vs a colored coating.

We doubt this was a coating failure since from the pic a lot of the area is prtotected which indicates this problem. Please contact us directly at below so we can assist in rectifying to coverage. To date we have never seen the coating not hold back a liquid, and we checked with Ballisitix and they agree that the surface is not fully coated somehow which allowed the staining.

Hi, we are basing this on the photos and opinions by our Tech Specialists and field testing that we have the product down in thousands of applications with oil, acids, solvents, fuels sitting on them for years without affecting the coating. Of course we stand behind it and will work with the customer to rectify.
