Just realized that my supply of welded saw blades is getting low so I went to my last supplier (MSC)...wow
My last price for a 101" blade was about $7 ...now $63.
I searched online and prices are all over the map from $22 to $90+
Where are Ya'll buying welded band saw blades? and at what prices?

Wow. I have a whole bunch of BS blades that don't fit my Delta. I think they are 80-81" and the Delta is longer (no riser). I guess 2 welds in one blade would work. I'll have to see about building a BS welder out of my spot welder.

I use a Delta 14 inch with a 93-1/2 blade I found some at Busy Bee but there are not that good for steel. So I'll be watching this thread for sure . R

I just bought some Starrett blades (they dont list brand on website) from mcmaster. Don't remember the price exactly, but still very reasonable

I struggle to see why you'd use one unless you have an absurdly large bandsaw. I had a grob 36” that had the welder built in. Thing had four wheels., it made sense in that case.

$7 dollars really, what century was this ???? Dave

Yeah that price seems very low.

Im also a lennox bi metal user. Never seen them for 7$ though.
Well, it was a while ago... and that is why I had about 15 on the shelf, now down to 4.
The search continues. I did find that Disston sells blade material in bulk if I decide to make them but that is just another project.
Thanks for the replies.
