Bandsaw Blades..??

I have a generic Taiwan metal cutting saw that calls for a 1/2 x .0196 x 51 1/4 blade..The places that I have checked with say a standard.025 thickness blade will work fine. Since I'm a rookie with these saws...and don't have a clue if this is correct....Can anyone give me some help ?..thanks..jv...

Hi ozark1,

Welcome.

The 0.025" thickness blade should work just fine. You may have to adjust the blade guides for the thicker blades.

Luvit...Mine is IDENTICAL to yours..Condition and all. I saw a sale advertised in Indidna..and a friend bought it there..and is bringing it to me. He sent me the Owners manual ..if you need a copy.. Thanks for the help..JV
