Bandsaw question about hydraulic

Guys, I'm just fitting up my shop to work with metal. I see myself making things with smaller materials and I'm limited in my shop space so footprint is importance. My shop also doubles as a wood shop and gardening/bicycle storage

I''ve decided I'm going to get a horizontal bandsaw (that can go vertical when needed) and I'm looking at 2 different bandsaws, which are the typical import 4x6 saws.

One has the hydraulic descent control, and the other has the spring descent control.

My questions are:
1. How necessary is that hydraulic control when cutting smaller parts?
2. How good is the spring control?

I guess I will typically cut tubing, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions. I've used the search function here.

The spring control *****. The nice part about the hyd. control is you can fudge the blade TPI rule by slowing the blade descent down so it doesn't strip the teeth off a blade that is a little too coarse for the material being cut.
