Hi everyone. New here so if I'm doing something wrong let me know. Thx. Thinking about a new bandsaw and down to two I like. First the grizzly go457 14" and the Laguna 14/twelve. Plan on doing a lot of resaw and would like the opinion of some people who have one. Thanks

I have an older grizzly, a 16".. I've honestly only used it once, but it's a decent saw. Either will probably be fine, maybe just compare cost vs capacity on whatever your looking at.
I think Laguna makes some very good machines. I have their LT 18 3000 and have been very pleased with.
Depending on how much you want to spend, the Laguna LT14 SUV has been considered best in class for some time now, but it is a pretty big step up, price wise. Depending on your budget, buy once, cry once - but personally, I would take the Laguna 14/12 over the Grizzly

One thing I'm not sure about is the ceramic blade guides compared to the bearing style. Laguna seems to be the only one using ceramic

The ceramic blade guides are different - but what is your concern. ( I have even read about people installing them on the extremely expensive Italian made band saws like the ones from Mini Max)
My old saw a jet have the cool block always a pain to set up right. The new saws all seem to have bearings now except for the Laguna. And it's what they are calling 10 point. I just really don't know anything about either one. Just trying to get as much info as I can. That's a lot of money for me. I really appreciate all your input
