Banned members list?

It should still show in your history. Other wise how do the Mods now you have had 3 strikes ?

I got into a ******* match once with a since banned member who had a very low and misinformed opinion of Canada. Several of us took him to task. I received a very polite message from ____ and that was the end of it. It made me realize there is NO POINT in arguing with trolls. It doesn't take much for losers to think they're winning.

When I replied to a post,that had "Uncle Sam" in it, with "cousin barry", I got the hammer also. In my infraction section, all that shows up is that I received 5 pts for a political post. Nothing about the hammer.

Just curious, what do the points mean with infractions?

Also when you say it takes 3 strikes, are we talking for eternity or does it take 3 infractions that are all current and none of which have expired? :headscrat

For eternity. If you get three strikes in three years, then that third one mans you are o-u-t. I'm sure if you are a normal, productive, generally congenial member and you just slip up three times an exception can be made at the discretion of the Secret Council.

You have had one warning and one infraction. 3 infractions would be all that is tolerated. Mind you, your post was not what started the issue of an infraction and Admin banned a Political poster today. Subject topic "Emergency lighting on Federal Government Auto" has now been removed.

As helpful as this forum is and the information that some of the members have, a banned list wouldn't be a bad idea. Sure everybody gets into ******* matches now and then but it happens everywhere.

I think there are times when you search out a member for his/her knowledge on something and you can't find them, you start wondering if it was somebody else that you were thinking about. A simple BANNED list in the form of a sticky where nobody can comment on it might actually be helpful.

On the other hand, I can see Ryan not wanting a list like this for those that have bashed his site. :dunno:

maybe those that have done that could be left off the list and stay in the black hole.

In the end, the decision is up to Ryan, it's his site and we're just here along for the ride.

The list would simply be to big to post. We ban spammers on a daily basis so you add them to the list of say 5 a day do you get an idea how long that list is !

Don't think anyone would be interested in the spammers. Couldn't the list be of real members that have been banned?

The only thing you would get would be a laugh from some of the stupid names. Mostly those used by the spammers.

I sent an pm to a member a few days ago about an ad in the classifieds. Didn't hear from him, so I looked for his ad to see if his items had sold. Couldn't find his ad. If there was a list I could have checked it to see if he was on it.
