Hello - was wondering if anyone on here has found a great set of bar stools for their garage? I am looking for something with a back and something that is comfortable to watch a few games on. They would be going around the pub table in the picture below. Thanks for any ideas!!

I spent a lot of time looking for nice bar stools. My father-in-law have me a Craftsman stool for Christmas one year, but I can't get a duplicate, and it doesn't have a back.

I ended up with one of these (and will probably buy one or two more for my different work areas and/or visitors), and it's fantastic for the price point: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GAAZN4C

Those are almost the exact ones I just pulled the trigger on. I am a Hawkeyes fan so just pulled the trigger on these at Sam's Club.

I just pickup whatever's on sale for $15-20 at Big Lots. I weld the leg assemblies to keep em from falling apart. They live a harsh life in my shop. Then they get recycled when it's time to recover them.

The bar stools in the shop don’t really meet your requirements, but are pretty fun.

My grandpa and I built them 30 years ago.

He sourced a couple of swivel barstools built probably in the 60’s. We removed the seat, and fitted on some old Ford tractor seats (same as our old 8N had). We built two of them. They were in momma’s kitchen for several years, and now are in the shop still being used. I’ve sat and watched golf and smoked cigars for hours on them many times.

I have a couple of Cman stools in my garage and a pair of from TSC. They are pretty much the same stool.

You have to find what's comfortable for you, we're not all built the same.

With the number of businesses closing because of the pandemic, commercial fixtures will be available very cheaply.

Unfortunate, but a reality.

I just picked these up at TSC yesterday. Saw them on the way to the register on sale (yea, just like they want you to!) for $29 each. Probably going to re-dye or re-cover the back rest to not have a giant TSC logo on there :p But they are pretty cool otherwise, although definitely Chinesium hardware.
