Guys,
the company I work for is looking at getting rid of some Bard 3 and 4 ton AC units. These are the all-in-one style AC units that get installed on the side of a building. You see them on contruction trailers, etc. I'm looking at getting one for my garage.

Would any one else be interested in getting one for their garage? Most of the units will be scattered across the gulft coast. Most of them are about 2 to 3 years old.

let me know if any one is potentially interested and what you think they might be worth to you.....

I'm hoping to snag one shortly, and then I will be able to post pictures of the actual units.

Thanks,
Brad

Here are a couple of pictures of the AC units installed on our equipment. I'm trying to procure one for myself first, and then I will have even better pictures....

Again, most of these are scattered across the gulf coast area and the south.... We will be starting to remove these in about 4-6 weeks and then we'll be having a few available every week until they are gone.

Most of them will be 120/240 1-ph, but a few of them will be 120/208 3-ph.

Let me know if you have questions.

Alright guys, I took delivery of my AC units this weekend. Since I was also managing the retro fit project we were working on, it was easy to coordinate with the trucking company to drop the units off at my house.

It will be awhile before I can use the units, but better to have them in hand so a guy can plan accordingly....

The guys laid them down for shipping, so after I got them off the truck, I screwed some wood braces to the bottom and stood them up. THen I put them outlet to outlet and screwed them down to a pallet. Just as I was finishing up, it started to sprinkle. So I threw a tarp over them and moved them over to my staging area.

Those units look to be in pretty good condition. Those units work well and are very quiet when running.

Did you get the heating parts as well?

Yes, the two that I got were in excellent shape. They did not have the heating units in them. The equipment that they were installed on did not need heat, so they are cooling only. That is the case for the rest of the AC units that the company will be decommissioning. So if anyone is interested, keep that in mind.

I will be using floor heat, so I'm not worried about it not have a heating unit.

I just got two of the same style 3 ton units today for $75 delivered. Mine are older, but were in service and replaced with the newer refrigerant or some other upgrade. The guys working on the replacement said they have found some to be junk, but these were in good working order. I figure for $75 I can install them in my shop and if they need some parts I can afford the repairs. Mine also have the heaters, which they said are expensive to run, but still a nice option if needed. Does anyone know of a good ac chart so I know if I only need one?
