I never run across deals like this so I feel VERY lucky. A buddy sold his house and only has a car port on the new home, so he had to get rid of this.....

....new, this set up goes for $2300 at TP Tools and I was lucky enough to get everything, delivered, for......are you sitting down? $500!!!!! The compressor alone goes for $900+ and I was just about ready to get the Lowes 60 gal for $429 + tax.

Can't wait to set it up and put it work!!!! Not sure if I will ever need the blast cabinet, but it was free the way I look at it!

Yea, I know...............I ****! :bounce:

The cabinet is cool I drive to my buddys shop to use his bead blaster.
You can do a bunch of work in no time with it.

You'll be amazed how often you use the cabinet, remember to use a vacuum system of some kind with it or you can't see much really really fast AND you get dust all over the garage.

If you look closely at the crappy picture between the blast cabinet and compressor, you will see the tall black vacumn system that came with it. It will ultimatley get set up on the left side of the cabinet once I get everything wired up and in it's final spot. I have to get some rubber pads for the compressor feet before I drill the floor to anchor it down. It's amazing how much noise is reduced when you use vibration dampening pads under a compressor or any big piece of equipment! Can't wait to get it running!!! :willy_nil :willy_nil I ran 3/4" copper lines inside the walls and ceiling before putting up the drywall so I will have two HF hose reels on the ceiling and three hock-ups with separate regulators on the walls when I'm finished. Much better pictures to follow when it's up and running.

You will use that blast cabinet for everything, nothing will ever have rust on it again at your house. The beauty of a blast cabinet is that you can virtually use a spray can to get a primo finish on anything cause you are starting from a bare surface.

I can see it now, you will be doing the dinner dishes in there.

I can't see the picture, but it sounds like a great deal.
I am worried about your buddy, though. Why would he buy a house where he couldn't use his tools? Sound like his wife was a major influence on what house they chose. He will regret selling you this stuff, if he doesn't already.

I'm not too worried about him as the car port will be torn down and a 60' x 25' new garage will be built in it's place! My 40' x 22' will look small in comparison. I'm also sure that he will want to buy it back some day, but I've offered the use of it to him when ever he needs it. He's also looking at the move as an opportunity to get a bunch of new toys when the garage is up. He's going to have TWO 4 post lifts, floor drain with oil separator and God knows what else. Oh, and his wife is a saint!!!!!!!! He gets away with murder all the time!!! He brings home old cars like they are stray dogs! In the last year, I've seen him come home with a '27 T bucket street rod for $5k, a TR7 that will be stripped and made in to a full on SCCA racer, a '66 Mustang that he got for $550 and parted out for $1500. A '53 MG TD that had been in the original owners barn for 20+ years for $5k.

His current inventory is a '91 ZR1 Corvette, a '61 Corvette with 250,000 miles on it, a '96 Impalla SS that is his daily driver, a '70 something TR8 convertible that he bought new, a big Chevy pickup, a Suburban that the wife and kids drive, the '27 street rod and the '53 MG. And to think that he bought a house with a car port! :willy_nil Oh, and a brand new 28' enclosed trailer that he picked up last Friday that will be used for temporary storage during the move.

Heck, I don't feel so bad about the steal, I mean deal as another buddy of mine got a mid rise lift for NOTHING about a year ago. Some guy was getting a new 4 post lift and told him to come and get the little one. Now that's a deal!!!!

That's awesome. You will really enjoy having a blast cabinet around. You'll probably even make some new friends, once word get's around that you have it.

Where do live again? :lol_hitti

If that compressor has 4 legs, Go to homedepot or a construction site, and pick up 2 peices of 4x4. Lag the compressor into the 4x4 and dont bother to anchor the 4x4s to the ground We did the same thing with ours, and its pretty hard to get 550lbs movin. It still has vibrations on the floor, but my using 4x4s you wont have to drill into the floor. Vibration pads would have been a total waste for us because the compressors legs sunk into the 4x4s after about a week. Sturdy as hell. If you really want vibration pads (although I feel un needed) you shold place a little squre of 1/8 thick steel between the legs and the actual pads, because the compressor will simply crush the pads to the point of being firm and it will defeat the purpouse. Nice set up there.

Good idea. I think I will put steel squares under my feet.

Unfortunatly it only has three legs, but I do appreciate the suggestion of the steel plates between the legs and the anti-vibration pads. The main reason I'm concerned about the vibration is that the compressor is right next to the interior wall of our living room, and I'm sure my wife will not appreciate this thing going off while she's in there watching TV or reading! :bitchslap
