It's funny how many Snap on vs Competitor posts go up. Me? I just love tools. I especially like getting tool truck quality for Craftsman prices. There is nothing better than eBay, garage sales and auctions for getting pro quality tools for less than the Craftsman equivalent. I scored a ton of Cornwell tools at a garage sale, a Mac timimg light at an auction and two Blue Point impacts from eBay amount dozens of other things. I'm a weekend warrior on a Craftsman budget but i have tools from all the major manufacturers thanks to these sources. When it comes to buying tools, it's not a matter of what brand it is, it's about getting a good deal on a great tool. Anybody else here like me?

I have to agree with you guys 100% on this. Until I joined this forum I bought almost everything new @ Sears. Just got a good deal the other day on ebay on a Chicago Pneumatic 1/2 impact wrech and 3/8 air rachet. Now I'm hooked. If you can find a good deal on something used why not take it.

I hear you!!! I buy a lot of quality tools at flea markets, etc. I like saving the money but, it's the thrill of the hunt that makes it a blast!!

I dug a nice old Williams USA wrench out of the bottom of a rusty old tool box full of imported junk a guy was selling. Bought it for a buck!!! Made my day!! I've bought several Craftsman wrenches this winter as fill in and duplicates for 3.00 to 4.00 bucks a piece. Most of them were new. Now that summer is here, it's time to get serious!! Man I love it!!!:bounce:

I too buy quality tools at sale prices. I wish there was an easier way to get ebay'd stuff across the border. When I see some of the deals there I want to bid but when you find out about shipping costs --ouch:shocking:

Free trade ... isn't.

Living in a somewhat remote part of Canada there aren't pawn shops or tool auctions so I'm really envious of those who have access to such.

Agree 100%.... never bought off the truck. All my Snapon, Mac & Matco tools I've accumulated are from garage sales, pawn shops, swap meets, ebay and estate sales.
