I haven't used this in my garage but plan on it for the next one. I did use it in my home office. I did the upper part of the walls with a light grey and the lower half a darker grey. Then I used a classic car wallpaper border in a red scheme to separate the two. I'm a GM kinda guy and wanted to pay homage to the GM shop color scheme.

The ceiling is white and that helps some with light. In a shop I would consider a gloss paint. It'll show smudges easier but does reflect more light.

White IMO is the only way to go. But I do a lot of painting and my shop isn't a show garage. When I eventually hang plywood up on the walls they will be white.

Just painted the OSB walls in my shop. One coat of oil base primer. Bought a bunch of white latex semi-gloss on clearance for 5 bucks a gallon. Put one coat on the top. Added one qt. black to a gal. White and painted the bottom.
