Barn interior wall requirements Ontario

My plans call for Drywall in interior, which I'm ok with. I'm miles away from any other buildings and when I asked building inspector about other options they said for fire under OBC code Drywall is basically your only option. I thought that would only be if the garage was attached? can't find a reference in OBC book

I live in Ontario. My 26' x48' attached garage interior is finished with sheet metal siding. It met building code in 2014. At the time, it was comparable to finished and painted drywall price wise.
