Barn pics.

My continual work in progress. This is actually two barns put together, the shorter roof barn is the original, it had exposed particle board for the siding when we first bought the place. Me and my wife put steel siding on the original, and we built the newer part ourselves, it is a "box beam" design with no rafters, with both barns it is over 100 ft long.
Excuse the mess, I just built a roof over the hot tub deck, added steel roofing on the old barn, and am in the process of building a "Hog Barn" for the Harleys.

So you've got a bad *** barn, with an office, and a hot tub next to the office? Oh hell yes! I'm bringing the women, you bring the beer!

Nice looking building. I like the box beams in the new part. Do you have a cost in comparison to regular trusses?

We built the newer part about 3 years ago, and when I was comparing prices, it was not much more than a regular construction Pole building, maybe a few hundred dollars more, very comparable. The barn is a "Branstock", located out of Chelsea, Mi., they delivered everything in kit form, so the side supporting posts were already fabricated, we just had to glue(lots of it) and nail the supporting beams together, lift them up, and add the 2x6 purlins.

"Plate and Bridge Specialist", my Grandpa was a dentist, and I got that door from his practice.
That 70's high back chair is the most comfortable chair I've ever had, it's welded onto an old 4x4 rim for the base, works great for looking out my bay window .
Ok, I'll bore you with more pics.

This is the cupola I just made. The attic was creating alot of heat, so I made the side windows open when I pull a rope in the barn, it really works good!

This is the "Harley Barn" i'm building off the back, I'm using rough cut wood, I got from the Amish, to try and give it a old school look, not sure how well it's gonna fit in yet?? Oh yeah, the sky light you see, I got for free, coming home from work, it was sitting on the side of the road with a free sign, it really works awesome!!!

Looking into the old barn, I have the sliding doors for the winter months, I only heat about 30 ft of the old part.

Thanks everyone, it really is a mess now, and I really need to start getting some of my projects done, but I can't seem to stop building on the barn .
I just put a roof over the hot tub, I'm hoping to enclose it before this winter, but I want to be able to open it up along the front in the summer. So that's still on the drawing board, I'm not to sure the best way to do that yet.
