What is this Food grade Barrel size? pic

I tried measuring in the tub but....., I thought regular 55 gallon ,but I'm guessing 70? Never saw square barrles, food grade from local meat place. Sausage casings, stunk but 2 gal muric acid,, pictured for scale on top, took care of that!

Add a known quantity of a substance and see how much of the barrel is filled and extrapolate from there.

No one has seen these and knows? No stamping I looked and looked.

Of coarse I can fill it 5 gallons at a time, but I was actually unfilling it and my back gave up after 9 at least 15 more gallons left but I couldn't reach it and lost count, and my 5 gallons were closer to 4 after 40 gallons dumped LOL.

It's square abut 95 % I could measure maybe and do some math...well I can measure.

It's much easier to fill something than bail.

Have any five gallon pails? Fill one with a hose to verified quantity depth, then dump into barrel. Count number of times you do it.

Based on shape, I don't think you're going to get very accurate with measuring dimensions of that barrel.
