Some times I have some thing that I don't care about selling, but would trade to some one.
Just like last month, Little Ponderosa wanted a 1/4 inch breaker bar / flex bar
I seen one at a yard sale and picked it up cheap, I sent it to him and told him to pick me up some thing some time and send me some thing back... Barter

And the existing Wanted! forum wouldn't work for this because?

I know that in the classified section you have to put a price on your products. I don't know about wanted. I guess a mod. will have to chime in on this.

Here ya go. All these years and you've never read the rules?

1. All items for sale must be listed. All ads must have prices. Ads without prices will be deleted.

2. You are allowed to bump your ad once every 72 hours (3 days). If you bump your ad before that time period, it will be deleted.

3. Please only post tools, garage supplies, etc... that are relevant to the Garage Journal.

4. Please do not post links to other classified or auction sites.

5. Purchase items at your own risk. While we do our best to fight off scammers, we are not responsible for deals gone bad. However, if you find yourself getting worked over, please let us know - we will do our best to help you. **Buyers do not pay via PayPal gift**

6. Please combine your items into one thread as often as possible.
Not following this guideline could result in your F/S ads being deleted.

7. You must have a minimum post count of 100 to post threads in the classifieds. Alliance members can post no matter their post count.

Note: The Garage Journal is not a classifieds site. We have a classifieds section just so that users can help each other out with deals and finds. If you are here looking for profit, please don't post.

These rules include and also pertain to the Wanted Ads.

Love of money is the root of all evil. Love of tools brings us together. I'd love to be able to trade tools I'm not using for tools I want.

That being said, I'm sure it's easier to sell some items, then go buy the ones you want than to find two people who happen to each have what the other is looking for.

Maybe Ryan would be ok with classified ads listing prices and acceptable trades so people could make offers?

Waterguy, I know and have read the rules. that is why I suggested a barter section. I have a thread in the classified section right now that I don't feel comfortable with. But it is as close as I could come...Richard

Evidently you don't, as per your post. That's why I posted the "Wanted" rules.

You need to let go of the drama ****. Just place an ad in the classifieds and add that you'd also be interested in a trade or post in the wanted section and add that you'd sell for a certain amount. Not really that difficult.

Yall will argue over anything I swear... Get out in the garage and be productive!!!

As for the topic at hand, put it in the classifieds and price it as FREE. And if it isn't free, put a price on it.
