So, I need to raise my ground a bit. I'm building a 1900 sqft garage, I think I need to raise it about 1 to 1.5 feet. I'm in central florida. Should I just use fill dirt? Rocks? a combo?

Also, I get the proctor test scheduled after it's all compacted, right?

I had to come up about almost 3 feet in the front of my garage as we built on a slope and I wanted the rear out at ground level (not below grade) for proper drainage around the building.

My concrete guy used large fill (called "bricka brak") with smaller gravel on top. So far, so good. No issues with the floor.
