The shell of my pole barn is done. It's a 60x80x16. The grade board sits above the ground at least 6". We had to build it that way because we are close to a flood zone. What is the cheapest base fill I can add before adding insulation and pouring the concrete. Someone mentioned floom (don't know if that's spelled correctly). Any help is appreciated

Usually fill has different names, depending on where you are. We call it 3/4" minus as it's made up of stones 3/4" or smaller along with the crusher fines which allow it to pack tightly. In other areas it's referred to as Class 5.

Your local gravel yard should be able to help you choose the correct material. Give them a call.

One of the stone supply guys told me to use cement truck wash out that has been crushed. Then put a few inches of pea gravel on top. Has anyone ever heard or used wash out?

I have heard of the washout. A local concrete company sold my friend several 10-wheeler loads for $50 per load, what it cost them to truck it to his place (not far). It spread and compacted very well and he has a high quality finished floor over it. If it is available and cheap, it works well. I used #1 crusher run, which has fines up to #1 stone. It will compact equally well but is not as cheap.
