Trying to figure out the details around the baseboard that sets up how high the initial row of drywall would sit. Plan is to put the outlets just above the drywall, also to have them clear of any four foot panel against the wall.

Would like feedback on the current plan:

Baseboard sitting 1/8" above RaceDeck tiles. (Does anyone seal this?)
Drywall starting 3/4" above slab. (1/4" above tile)
Tile with 1/2" gap to sole plate.

Sole plate isolator (not sure if that is the correct term) is 3/8" thick with standard 2x4 on that.

I would go with Diamondlife diamond plate. I like it so much we filled out a dealer application, but we don't sell it yet. You can get it from their website diamondlife.com I would keep it slightly off the tile so the tile can move. If the kick does not cover your gap you can build it out a bit

I guess I'm more concerned about the drywall spacing to slab at the moment.
Is 3/4" going to be enough overlap to the sole slate (about 1-1/8" overlap) and be sufficient to keep moisture from wicking into the drywall.

I will check out the DiamondLife product as well.

gryphon68 - Very Nice! , I like the illustration you created.
On Monday give us a call, we have several options to go with that are 'thin' and have a lip to go over the top of the floor by as much as 2" ( both in metal and vinyl), we can send you some free samples. We use this for large floors, commercial applications and the large gymnasiums we do in our SnapSports division.

I just had 20" x 20" porcelain tiles installed in my 3-car garage.

The walls are block with a cement stucco finish right down to the floor except on the most rearward wall of the garage which is drywall right down to the floor.

I just bought a 120' roll of vinyl wall base cove trim molding from Lowes for $78 and installed it all around the garage.

Here is a photo of the molding on one of the walls where the cement stucco wall goes right down to the floor:

The molding was pretty easy to install.

Jorgen - I would be interested in your solution as well.

Gryphon - Excellent diagram... I have a similar need, can you tell me what solution you used?
