baseboard ?

have added a laundry area to our garage. made it nice and even added 3" colonial baseboards to the space and closed off with bifold doors. Now she wants a tall cabinet/shelf installed. What are my opens to getting it sit flush against the wall with very little work to cut/remove the base boards?
I am going to use 2 precut melamine sides with the pre-drilled adjustable shelf holes.

No mystery here:
(1) remove section of baseboard (confused why you think this is a lot of work)
(2) notch shelf
(3) raise shelf above baseboard attached to wall and/or front supports that go to floor.

removing baseboard, always repeat ALWAYS involves me having to patch holes in the drywall. Turn a half day project into a week long.

How do you attach your baseboard?

Just remove it where the cabinet go and then fix the holes by putting a cabinet oven them

it is a 79" piece of 3 1/4" colonial baseboard with shoe molding. The cabinet is about 20inches wide. attached them with a 18 braid nail gun.

what a waste of effort. Everything is coming out this weekend. Going to stack the W&D in a unused closet. She has been complaining about the smell of gasoline and PB blaster whenever she does laundry.
