My basement garage currently has insulation, but the contractors did a horrible job installing it when the house was built about 10 years ago. I'm thinking about replacing it with spray foam insulation to make the garage look better, but also to seal it off. Are there any pros or cons to using spray foam insulation in a garage? Can it be painted? I have a contractor coming to give me an estimate for it tomorrow afternoon. I had another contractor give me an estimate on a drop ceiling and it was $1600 plus materials.
