Hello all,

I have a small room (7.5’ x 13’) in my basement that is bare concrete. I’d like to use some type of epoxy type flooring in this room.

I’m planning on grinding it rather than bringing loads of water into the room. Is there any reason I can’t use a 6” random orbit sander for this?

Most of the products I’ve been reading about are for much larger areas and I’d have a lot of waste. Any recommendations on products for a room this size?

Thank you!

It can be etched with only a pump-sprayer and a shop-vac.
Pick something LOW VOC in a small area like that, water-based epoxy sealer or 100% solids epoxy.
Thanks and good-luck!

I sanded 2 of the 3 bays in my garage by hand before applying latex G floor paint (I left the single bay as is for messy work). Wasn't fun in the least, but it worked well enough. Doing so produced minimal dust and debris (which was cleaned up with 2-3 damp string mop passes).
