For you folks that live in the NY/CT (lower Fairfield County) area and have built new (or somewhat new) detached garages, about what are you seeing the local per square foot cost to be?
I'm looking at potentially doing something very, very basic in a 4 car/bay setup. No loft, nothing fancy. Just a simple slab & wood framed structure w/low gable roof, 1 side entry door, wood or maybe vinyl siding, 2 or 4 garage doors, plenty of electrical service, elec. heating, decent lighting (plenty of fluorescent fixtures), and sheetrocked with wall & ceiling insulation (i'd put up a regular ceiling, not leave exposed gables).
