My father mentioned he needed to use my bandsaw. A couple days later my boy and I cruise past this AMT for sale on the curb. For $35 I toss it in the trunk. Sure it needs tires and the table trunnions are shattered. Here she is.

Once I opened her up and started to disassemble her the upper wheel literally fell into my hands. It appears that the upper wheel mount had cracked along its adjustable pivot points.
The interwebs taught me that these machines suffer from brittle casting in the trunnions and upper wheel adjuster. It also led me to Accuramachinetools.
Most of the various 14in Taiwan saws are identical. Bought some parts and got to cleaning.

Stripped down.

New upper wheel mount adjuster dropped in after a few burs were filed off.

Table got a light sand and wax. Now I need to figure out a way to mount it to the saw. Thinking I'll make something instead of replace the **** trunnions. Anyone come up with something really slick? Post up.

And back to running smooth.
