I often carry tools, chainsaw, etc. in the bucket of our tiny Kubota B5100, but every so often I'd forget and dump it on the ground. To get around this, I bought a carrying basket for a ATV and made a sturdy (leftover 3/8" x 3" and 3/8" x 4") bracket to support it off the ROPS. The round bars supporting the basket are leftover 3/4" galv water pipe; I pressed in 1/2" nuts into the ends and tacked the nuts in place in place so I can bolt on some Unistrut to carry other misc stuff. I'm going to add a scabbard for the chainsaw and perhaps the hedge trimmer as well.

I tacked the bracket pieces together and drilled them on the split line to make the cut-outs for the 3/4" pipe:

The 1 hp 20" drill press I got on FB Marketplace has been earning its keep; it's so nice to have a drill press that
will turn at 150 rpm for jobs like this.

Great design! I have been wanting to do something exactly like this for my b7500. I think your post will push me into moving ahead with it. Thanks!

Very nice, great idea. Just make sure stuff like screwdrivers etc can’t jump out, chances are so low but Murphy makes it a near certainty that you’ll drive over it later and stab it into a tire.

That’s a great idea. 👍 In the past, I’ve thought about mounting a box on my Kubota but never considered putting it on the back of the roll bar. When I do mine it’ll have a lid so tools don’t jump out and leaves won’t fall in.

Thanks for posting.

I like it!

Love the B5100. I've got a B6100 I rebuilt/restored a couple years ago. There's a thread on it somewhere here.

I would pay out the nose for a loader like yours. Haven't been able to find any at a reasonable price within a reasonable drive, though.

You fellows have got your defecation together with the ROPS tote baskets! Nice work. Back when I had a tractor I had an ammo box mounted on the inner side of the rear fender for small tools. It was weather sealed so I could just left various handy tools in it so they were always available for use around the property.

I have an ammo box on the left fender; I keep the 15' chain and choker setup there for when I'm dealing with trees.

This loader was actually intended for a B7100; I made a new subframe and custom front drive adapter to use it on this tractor. I bought it from a friend; he thought the loader was supposed to fit on this tractor but no such luck.

It's a bit much in terms of weight capacity for this little tractor, but it works.

Next tractor addition is a bracket for suitcase weights on the trailer hitch assembly I made; the tractor came w/ two and I'll order
two more for a total of about 320 lbs on the rear.
