As a guy who has sentimental attachment to some of the bicycles I have picked up through the years, I am now at the point that hanging them all on the wall isn't practical. Not to mention that my two sons who are only 3 years apart are 3 bike sizes apart which means I have bikes that are to small for my 14year old but way to big for my 11year old.

Last weekend I came up with a solution!

Just be careful with humidity getting up there. I'm a bike guy myself and you know how much damage that can do.

If humidity isn't an issue, you nailed it. They are out of the way.

Nice bikes too!!!!!!

Getting those potential car dingers away from the vehicles should be on everyone's must do list.
Having 10ft ceilings, my bikes go up using a bike hoist.
Bought my hoists at Menards on sale for $10 each.

Of course I have a temperature controlled garage.

I don't think I'll have to be too concerned about moisture here in sunny California, at least not up in the rafters. We just had a new roof put on and hopefully the radiant barrier and ridge venting will keep it a little cooler up there.

I got 8 bikes up there leaving 7 spots on the wall for easy access to our regularly used bikes :)
