Today, we tore out the shower in our master-bath. For the record:

1) My wife ROCKS!!! She was a real trooper through it all. I'd pull the stuff down, she'd collect it and we'd roll it out to the dumpster.

2) Screw Home Depot and their tool rental!!! My $20 automotive air-chisel made SHORT work removing tiles from the floor. There is a certain satisfaction to having everything you need to complete a project right in your shop! (This also helps improve the wifely-approval rating for HAVING a shop and BUYING said cool tools.)

3) The Estwing I-Beam demo bar I bought for this project has been worth it's weight in gold today. It's *like* a flat-bar, but it's designed a little better. The striking surfaces (think hitting the back with a hammer) are at 90* instead of rounded, it just works REALLY well.

4) I don't need no stinking roll-off!! While this project generated a LOT of trash, I was looking around and realized my old Jeep trailer would work GREAT. So I rolled the old M-416 around for dunnage duty on the project.

Have a little more demo tomorrow, but thanks to the automotive tools, things went WAY better today than expected!!!

Righteous! my wife and I recently redid our master bath. everything out down to sub floor. We worked pretty well together, makes it that much more fun doesn't it? all we have left to do is the fan above the new shower/tub thingy

are you putting in a urinal? I wanted a urinal with an LED motion sensing night light.
