I have NOCO battery charger (g1100) that stopped working. Even though I do not have a receipt AND it is past 5 year (made Spring 14) they are offering me two choices.
1) Send the unit to them and pay for shipping and $18 service fee. Will get back a new unit (I think)
2) 50% off ANY charger from THEIR website (so MSRP)

What would GJ do?

That is pretty good support from the manufacturer. If I was happy with the unit previously I'd seriously consider the $18 swap. However I'd suggest taking a hard look at CTEK.

50 off a new one. You are likely to get a refurb, not a new one. And I’ve never had good luck with refurbs.

6 years is good for a battery charger today? I have a Pro Mariner from early 2000s and that's my newest one. The rest are all old transformer chargers with analog gauges. I have 16 battery in equipment around here and that's just the 12v flooded type.

I have a TON of battery chargers, but most are old school transformer ones. They are on the list of "DO NOT BUY" that my wife has for me when I go to auctions. The list is LONG

I liked this one because it has lower amps (1.1 amps) and it worked well for the same batteries i have around (mower, jump boxes, etc.)
