Battery charger set up

Not a big fan of leaving batteries on chargers when I’m not around. I had these two, old, brass navigation lights off an old Great Lakes steamer that I had on the garage at the old house. Now, the red light is tied to a switch and outlets for the tool battery chargers. When the red light is on, the chargers are on. The green light is tied in with the air compressor. When it is on, the compressor is energized. Before I lock up, I can at a glance verify both are de-energized.

Good stuff. I always wanted to do the same in my bedroom to show if my detached garage door was open.

I'm also 1% concerned about charging batteries, and may setup my charge bank like you, but in a metal cabinet box, like a small flammable cabinet.

If you only energize both while in the garage, you could actually tie them to the light, and even activate the lights via motion sensor.

I like your decora. I'm looking for interior finishing ideas. That siding barn door and floor finish look amazing. Like the corrugated metal paneling and wall finish above it too. Your added indicator lights look great with it.

couple code issues- yellow is not permitted to be used for the grounded/neutral conductor and the EGC- equipment grounding conductor, should be taped green if larger than #6. if smaller, then it should have green insulation.

Isn't the yellow jacket typically some form of quadruplex urd?

What are your thoughts on everything in front of the panel?

I figured out where I've seen it...

3 recent builds in my area, oldest 3yrs old, done by separate contractors (but same PoCo) all have yellow jackets wire sticking out the weather head at the top of the pole.

The most recent one is interesting as it's actually 2 sections of underground feed (jumps Arial to cross road).

One of the supply houses I use gives us URD with a solid yellow conductor. I don't know if it's intentional or a coincidence, but that particular wire is dual rated and can be used indoors.

The stuff IFO of the panel is a code violation as well

I wish all panels only had that much stuff in front of them. I was at one this afternoon and could only get the door to swing open about 1/3 of the way before it hit a pile, but it was enough for me to reset the breaker. It was the daughter of my old high school football and track coach so I didn't give her too much flak about it.
