I was planning on getting a Schumacher charger as they have some great reviews but those chargers on the above post look like some seriously nice pieces of equipment.

I might have changed my mind!

Seriously. Made in the USA (I'm Canadian but that still counts for something), and they just look like a stellar piece of equipment and the prices are right on point. Amazing.

Those in the link do look nice. I saw them a few years ago but didn't know anything about the brand. I bought a little Schumacher automatic trickle charger that's been awsome.

Have tried many makes, USA made, China made ect ect and nothing beats Ctek chargers from Sweden for the many car batteries i look after. Larger models even work great as power supplies when doing car diagnostics. They are also approved by many manufacturers.

Even available from Amazon.com /.uk

I have a Schumacher 10/40/200 amp charger that my dad bought new back in the 80's and that thing kicks ***. If it ever dies I will replace it with the Schumacher fleet charger that does 24 volt too (I have a military truck). That is what I suggest

Every homeowner and shop should have (at least one!) c-tek charger. They've brought more than a few batteries back to life when my Schuey wouldn't. They can't replace a good shop charger but should be used in conjunction for maintaining, rejuvenating and even restoring batteries you've given up on.
Possibly the best $50 I've ever spent.

There was a Schumacher at our local Sam's club for $89 or 90 and it went all the way to 225 or 255 amps. For the price, I couldn't pass it up having a Superduty with dual batteries. It was a manual version with a timer if that helps you.
