battery powered edger

This will be my first battery powered lawn tool i guess you can say so not sure what to get. I'm looking for a battery powered edger that is lightweight and uses a standard metal blade, not some string or some other junk idea they came out with. I dont have that much to edge so thought I'd go battery for this to replace my old corded one I got for free some odd years back. Was junk and ran over then lol everything else I have for lawn care is gas powered. So who makes a good one that will fit my needs? No weak sauce junk that I'm going to regret buying bc it's always stalling out lol

Not sure if anyone makes that. Check with Stihl, Echo and Husqvarna.

My mom has the EGO and it does a good job. Not sure if it uses blades or string

I bought wife the Black and Decker 40v trimmer this year. Got sick of fighting with the Stihl, not the same quality they were 30 years ago. Does good job on my 3/4 acre lot. My friend had bought the 20v initially and returned it for a 40v as the 20v just did not last long enough

Ryobi has an 18v edger for $79, or $119 with battery and charger.

I burned up 2 or 3 corded edgers before going gasoline powered. Never will go back.

i have the B&D corded one i got for free. was used and ran over before i got it. i cant kill it for ****. but the cord ******** is started to get to me. i been using this one for around 4 years now. i may go gas powered but i think battery would do better for me bc on the amount i have to edge but with that said if there isnt one on the market good enough then i guess gas powered is my only choice which is stupid bc they can make good weeders and chainsaws but cant make a decent edger?! lol

I have the Echo 56v system. The trimmer accepts normal Echo PAS attachments so you can pick and choose whatever you’d like. Most other brands, except Ryobi, use a proprietary coupler. The Ryobi takes the expand-it attachments and they’re decent. The 40v Ryobi is pretty good too. The Echo replaced it and the Echo has quite a lot more power.

I have EGO blade edger, string trimmer, and mower.
All well designed products. Highly recommended.
