Battery powered lawn spot sprayer question

So I'm in need of a new battery powered sprayer to spot spray roundup in the yard. This is what I have. It's powered by 4 D cells. It's underpowered, sprays a teenie pattern, and the wand is anemic at best, but the one thing I love about it is it ***** back. Once I shoot the tank out I can put it in a bucket of water and **** clear water through the hose and pump. I haven't rinsed it out in 3 years just add to it and go. I'd love to find a more robust model with the same feature. I've looked at several models but none of them say if they have that feature. Anyone have any experience with these? I don't mind paying up for a nice sprayer, but I really want the **** back feature. Thanks

The one's I'm familiar with use diaphragm pumps with check valves. They cannot operate in reverse.

I have an 18 V Ryobi the whole pump mechanism separates easily from the tank. Just put the input hose infreshwater and pump it out. And easily dump out and rinse whatever the contents of the tank are.

I have the dewalt 20v sprayer going on my third season it works great. It's definitely built solid and takes the work out of spraying.

I have Milwaukee's Switch Tank, and all I can say is STAY AWAY. The Milwaukee is hot overpriced garbage!

Don't get the ryobi ones .... they **** and leaks after a period of non-usage... about it about 3 years ago, let it sit, then used it for onces or twice in disinfectant application... this year, it just leaks... **** to extreme.

I dunno about your disinfectant usage, but ours destroys the whole sprayer, they toss them after I session, since in a year, they will turn to ****. Cheaper to buy new then maintain them.

What's so hard about pushing the handle on a Solo?

I spray about an acre of weeds with one every year and I ain't really a young buck. Used to haul them all over the canyons out here, but then I was a young buck.

Yeah, I do rinse them out and make sure they're DRY DRY before storing them for the winter. Occasional pump and gasket rebuild keeps 'em going for many years.

I have the Scott's pressure sprayer. I pour leftover liquid back into a storage container after use, fill the bottle with water and rinse everything out.

It has worked well for me. It's lithium powered and I plug the charger in the day before I need it.

It does say on it not to be used with chlorine or other harsh cleaning chemicals.

Not sure what you did, I bought their electrostatic fogger , non electrostatic fogger and Their regular electric sprayer. All bad

Mine doesn't either and I've been using it 5+ years. But after using it for weed killer I let it spray clean water through it for a minute of 2 to clean it.

I've got the 40V Ryobi 4 gallon backpack sprayer - 2 yrs, no issues. Easy to clean, I can do all I need and run water through it for a minute or so when done. You can also adjust not only the spray pattern but also the pressure it pumps at. I had an 18V smaller one that did leak but I had run some stuff through it that I wasn't supposed to. That was on me. This one wasn't cheap but it was worth it. You can't do the ****-back thing but that seems like it would be more of a pain than a normal rinse is.

The sprayers this brand sells appear to use many if not all of the same components of the Flowzone/Spraymate/Yard Mastery sprayers (I have the latter two and can vouch for them, good stuff), which is good. I haven’t seen this feature on anything else, so it may be worth a shot.
