Not intending to discredit your deal or derail this thread, but I am a motorcycle mechanic and I strongly prefer other brands to Battery Tender. Not that BT's don't work, but I think you're paying, in part, for a name. In this price range I'd look at a NOCO unit instead. They're this price normally, have better technology, and higher quality accessories. I bought a NOCO 3500 a few months ago for $33 on Amazon. I've used a lot of brands over the years and I think BT is overpriced, old technology.

I've had good luck with my Battery Tenders, but I've never heard of those NOCO ones. They look pretty sharp, and have great Amazon reviews. I might have to pick one up sometime.

This is a good deal on the Tender though. I literally just bought another one at Goodwill the other day for $20 or else I'd bite.

The Harbor Freight ones are fine until they go bad and ruin the battery. Have had four go bad and ruin the battery. Two of the batteries were almost new. No biggie if they just go bad. A ruined battery is another story.

Run 4 Battery Tender Jr., 1 Battery Tender Plus, and 1 Schumacher maintainer now.

Been using Battery Benders for years (have 6 of them), but I just picked up a Noco and started using it basically because one charger can switch between 12v and 6v charging with just a push of the button. So far I'm impressed.

I've used the Battery Tender Jr on gell cells on bikes for a few years now & never had a problem. The HF is only good for lead acid batteries.

I use a Schumacher maintainer for the past 13 years without issues. It charges both 6v and 12v batteries. I also bought a battery tender Jr and used it for the past 7 years without issues.

JIC others are interested, the NOCO 3500 is on sale at newegg for $40 w/free shipping. That's a key buy, I just ordered one.

IMHO, that's considerably more charger than the BT+. As noted above, the more compatible 1100 is $34 via Amazon Prime on a reg basis.

If you're after the BT+, though, the Sears deal is a good one.

Yep. i've got the one on Amazon tho. Doesn't matter it's more compatible for more or less
