I have a DEWALT DW920K-2 7.2V screwdriver and recently I ordered a new battery (not Dewalt brand) and it works just fine, but when I went to charge it nothing happens, no light nothing? As I looked I noticed the battery I ordered is a NIMH and the batteries that came with it are NiCd, and the DeWalt charger says NiCd charger so does that mean it only charges NiCd batterys?
I'm not to familiar with all that but I noticed on replacement chargers say they charge both types. So is my charger just so old that it only will charge the Nicd batteries? Are the NIMH a newer type battery? I know they are different with the metals in them and the environment or something like that. Guess I need a new charger?
