Anyone have experience with Bauer shop vacuums? The 6 gallon size is exactly the size I want. I would rather have a Ridgid but I'm looking for a taller and narrower vacuum body instead of the shorter and wider body of the Ridgid.

Thanks

I dont have any experience with the Bauer vacs.. You might look at the Stanley stainless vacs. They're taller/narrower than the short wide style. I have an 8 gallon Stanley I picked up a couple years ago for $69 on clearance at Walmart. Been a good vac. I've used it for all kinds of stuff. But mostly I use it to collect dust from my table & miter saws. So it gets some pretty heavy use when I'm working.

Here is a 6 gal on Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stanley-6-Gal-4-0-Peak-HP-Wet-Dry-Vac-SL18116/306530979

Here is a 4 gallon that looked like a good form factor as well. Looks like it has a lot more attachments too. It was on Amazon, had a lot more reviews: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006EHYDQA/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I bought exactly that, for the same reason. Nicest shop vac I've owned as far as size and convenience. BUT the motor seems to be wearing poorly. Good concept. Poor implementation. I expect to be looking for a replacement in the next 12 months, and probably will bypass HF. (Not a HF Hater, but sometimes they live down to their reputation.) :dunno:
