I picked up an older baymate 4 post alignment hoist today, needs a bit of work but does anyone know where I could get a manual for how all of the pulley's and cables go together on it. from what I understand this is the same as an arcanos... there is no model no on the hoist but there is a serial number.

This is supposed to be a 9000Lbs 4 post alignment hoist and is open on the front (no bar tying the platforms). Still on the trailer. It had new cables, and just had all 3 of the trolly jacks serviced. One is a better jack then the other 2. The only thing wrong with it is a bit rust on the platforms, and needs a new roller on one side and the flat bar on the inside that the roller goes on as it jerks a bit going down. (So I am told). the Guy I got it from had it stored under a tarp outside beside some sheds for the last 2 years after it was removed from one of his shops. He gave me everything he had for it.

Picked it up a week ago and it is still strapped onto the trailer. Been busy working on a E-450 PowerStroke for a guy who gave me a Accuturn 4402 Rim Clamp Tire Changer and a Accuturn 6000 Wheel Balancer. Should have the cube van done tomorrow and back to the guy in the next day or so, so now I am really needing to find a manual for the installation of the hoist, or maybe someone local in Edmonton, alberta, canada that installs and service these for a living that may be able to give me a hand with the setup.

okay finally got around to unloading the hoist and doing some work on it. had to cut the inside beam out and weld in a new flat bar for the roller to run on.

Now I still need to do a few more repairs like some broken air lines, but I did get everything squared up and hiltied to the floor. and a new hydraulic line made up for the hoist since I didnt like the looks of the old one. After mounting the pump on the hoist though I did notice that this is an older cable/hydraulic hoist and I am missing the contactor and switch that would have been original to it. It uses a remote switch.. so now I am left with either finding some parts, or wiring things up with the contactor I had from the compressor that I didnt need when I switched from 3 ph to 1 ph.

Here are some pictures... any help would be greatly appreciated.

and here is some more of the wires and contactor...

Like I said any help with the wiring and what I could use as a switch would be great, the pressure solenoid is rated for 220V 60Hz and the contactor can more then handle this. and I also have the relay, just not sure how everything would be wired up and what to use for the switch.

I know that L1 and L3 are going to be power in.

T1 and T3 go to the Solenoid or the motor though?? or wire the Solenoid to the Motor, and then another set of Wires to T3 and the Switch to the Relay and the jumper wires from the contactor to the relay?

I did actually get it up and running and all welded up... have the 97 vw in the air at the moment on it. Do you have any of the Hydro Pack stuff, or nothing at all? I can take some pictures of the pump/reservoir and the electronics. I power mine with a contactor as well that was left over from my compressor. I built a switch for the original hydro pack. What you could probably do though is update it to a newer hydro pack with a single leaver. basically it is single action ram and is the ram is filled with fluid when it is all the way down. Once as it is lifting the valve needs to allow the fluid back into the reservoir. I may be able to do up some diagrams for it.

because mine is an open front it has to be bolted down. there is way too much inward pull and you can actually see the hoist flex inwards when I left the diesel pickups up on it.
