Ok, I can not find any bbq tools that are not made in China. Spring is coming and i want to flip my meat with higher quality steel.

Anyone know any bbq tools made in Canada, USA, or Europe?

What specifically are you looking for?

Tongs? Spatulas?

Those are about the only GRILLING tools I use. For BBQ, I use some nitrile gloves on bare hands or over brown jersey gloves. Ok, so tongs move ribs and chicken around... And I might use some aluminum foil and throwaway aluminum pans...

Here's what looks like some decent spatulas. I have no idea where they are made.

You might also look at the white handled stuff at Sam's Club. I think it is US Made.

For most of my stuff, I use OXO branded stuff or stuff I get at Restaurant Depot.


That stuff posted above appears to be made by Hoffritz. While I have had great customer service from them, their stuff is lightweight and for the 2-time-a-month consumer. I do like that big **** spatula, tho.

I used Weber 6445 (?) tool sets. Stainless and relatively good quality. Not sure about COO, but I'll check tonight and let you know.

I have a set of the ones Kershaw made for Snap On. never even thought to check the COO. I'll have to look tonight.
Best spatula I've ever used is the Weber one with the short handle and long "flipper part". not sure on COO of that one either but it's one hell of a tool!

Not sure where mine are made, and frankly I don't care. In my book, quality stuff is quality stuff regardless of where it's made. I got a nice set of Williams Sonoma bbq tools for my birthday a few years back and they're awesome, the best set of bbq tools I've ever owned. Super thick and heavy duty stainless steel. When you pick them up you can tell they're sturdy.

You can get Dexter-Russell spatulas that are made in the US for about twice the price of those. They make some nice long handled forks too.

I had the webers, they are pretty nice. But the Brinkmann are a nicer set, with higher grade stainless steel. But I am not certain of COO.

I got a set of John Deere grill tools for Christmas, their chicom but are nice. I'm waiting now for the John Deere grill cover my girlfriend ordered for my birthday.

I'm quite a fan of Facom tools and I have been looking at this BBQ set for
some time now. Only 29 Euro's, but there is a part of me that thinks I am
a really sad muppet for wanting these... So I haven't bought them..... Yet... :rolleyes:

The craftsman set I bought 10 years ago has Stainless USA stamped on the fork. They have held up great, the tongs are the thick wire instead of the more spatula shaped ends so I haven't used them much.

Not surprisingly, box said "Hecho en China". Box (or tools) doesn't say what grade of stainless it is. I still like them, but my point of reference is the other chrome(ium) made in China stuff, so take it with a grain of salt. :)

I have a very nice set that I got for free from Marlboro of all places :wtf:

To be honest, I wouldn't waste money on a BBQ tool set. Most come with the 3 tools...

1. A spatula which is the only tool in the kit worth having but they can be found individually.
2. a fork which is a tool I want no where near my grill. Piercing cooking meat is a great way to loose juices and dry the meat out.
3. Tongs which the version found in most BBQ kits (like the FACOM set shown about) quite simple **** IMO. I'd much rather have a standard set of commercial style chef's tongs that can be found cheap and any restaurant supply store

Do you have the JD Grill?
I have the previous OMC Deere Grill, been an excellent grill for the past 6 years now. Still a great grill.

Make that X3. I have purchased forged and stamped knives from them and are holding up fine.

I also have purchased about three of their grilling tools. I prefer the tongs that are smooth; theirs are serrated and tend to damage more delicate meats. Other than that, they are excellent quality and Made in the USA.
