BC Hydro Poles

I'm looking at buying some land in BC that has a build site approximately 300 meters from the lot line. I called BC Hydro to get a rough idea about how much it would cost to run poles, but they wouldn't deal with anyone who wasn't the owner of the property.

Has anyone had experience with BC Hydro installing poles on their land? How much did it cost you per pole? And what was the number of poles per foot?

Thanks in advance!

These days, BCHydro doesn't install private-property poles. That's your responsibility.

EDIT: You'd typically call an electrical contractor that does that type of work.

Try asking a high line contractor. BC Hydro likely subs out the work anyway in many cases. Is it possible that it can trenched?

The property is at the base of a mountain so I would wonder about running into rock if I were to trench it, but I will definitely ask an electrical contractor when I talk to one.

Ok, the person I talked to didn't mention that. I will definitely call a contractor then. Do either of you have a rough idea of what running poles and line cost?
