I just want to say that i am very satisfied with my racedeck, got a nice price, great customer service, great shipping and all. I also really like the product to do some real work, i live in a cold climate and just to not have my knees and lay on my back on the cold concrete is worth the install in my opinion.

I just thought it was more solid and i want to warn people to be carefull and put some plywood under your jack stand or any heavy object resting on a small surface.

Here are some pics of the tiles when i installed the jack stand with a car on it, this is what i discovered when i took it out of the garage. Also, i don't know what did this but you can see i also have a small nick in one tile which was caused by an unknown object.

I still think this is a great product but don't do the same mistake i did and if you are fancy about having the floor always perfect, order a couple extra tiles to change those that could dent when working in the garage

As fantastic as we think RaceDeck is, it is not a miracle floor ( close though ;) )

When you use the less expensive thin angle iron jack stands directy on RD, you can ding it, cut it, etc. the same goes for any resilient flooring. ( and in many cases chip up a painted or epoxy floor) The damage in the picture shows all of the weight load being applied on a width of about 1/16th of an inch.. Another plus example is that if you drop an expensive billet part on the floor, you will not hurt the part but only the tile..potentially saving you $100's to $1000's

Here is the good news, the whole floor in not trashed you can simply replace the few tiles that you damaged ( no need to repaint, re glue down tiles, etc) and I will replace the tiles FOR FREE - Just drop us a line a [email protected] and Jenn will get them out to you Happy Holidays

RaceDeck1 - fancy coming to Ireland/UK to teach customer service

Its ****** shocking how anything gets handled in this country, companies are always doing you the "favour"

Good to see customer service industry is alive and kicking elsewhere in the world

Class act. It is that kind of customer service that will pay off well for you. For the small cost of replacing those piece you build great consumer confidence.

And I still think Porcelain is better.

But yea, you cannot beat the customer service from RaceDeck. That alone makes it a tough flooring option to beat.

Yeah Jorgen i kinda supposed you guys were going to replace them for free but honestly, this is a garage to work so i don't really mind and i still have a couple new tiles here on extra so i coud change them if i wanted but since i am going to do other dents in it eventually, it is not necessary.

Just wanted to warn people of what the tiles can do and not do.

Moving everything back into the garage after installing the Racedeck, I left the boat (approx. 5000 lbs.) jacked up on the GoJacks. Stayed that way for 5 days, saw what I did and thought the tiles were ruined. Lowered the boat off the GoJacks and there were indentations left from every wheel, 16 of them. Couple days later the indentations were gone........pretty tough stuff but be careful none the less.

betcha' can't weld around it also!
Sure you can weld on Racedeck tiles, not a problem at all. And I have the holes burned through the tiles to prove it !!!

:)

Although most of the damage came from Plasma cutting, its quite possible to have a nice floor and still work on it. If I damaged the floor from working on it, I know they would replace the tile for free, I have never asked for free replacement tiles because I am doing things on the floor that I know I should not be doing, like welding/plasma cutting. I used to just move tiles around to a area where they would not be seen, now I admit in my new garage I left a area bare concrete where I try to do all my welding and when I can't move the parts there, i use a blanket to protect the floor. Yes, its more work but I don't do this for a living so I can spend the very little time and have a great looking floor.

Yup, I've been doing a lot of homework on the GJ over past year or two and this is just another prime example of why I'm more than likely going to put Race Deck in my garage when it comes time to put the floor down.

Hard to beat the quality plus the service after the sale.

It is reassuring to know that companies like RaceDeck are here and standing behind their products. Great customer service and great looking product. Hope to install racedeck in my garage someday as well!

I'm really impressed by RaceDeck's customer service, and honestly, they look a heck of a lot better than an epoxy coated floor. The Harley Davidson floor is really starting to grow on me. I've been looking at moving into a bigger place, and these seem like they would be a fantastic way to finish a basement as well. Quite nice.

When I did my garage a couple years ago, I tried to avoid this problem by putting in a 3 X 8 section of metal tiles near the workbench. I use this area specifically for jacking up and working on the motorcycles and it works great. Probably unnecessary, but I like it.
