I really like numerous old small top boxes and machinist boxes I can carry (barely sometimes) and have been looking at kiji for some more. I do not live in canada but can have somebody pick one up for me up there so I don't know about the Mastercraft brand much. Are these top boxes good quality?

The combos are $150 and $140, respectively. The drawer pulls make them look old, but they look new?

Can somebody please educate me on who made Mastercraft boxes (Beach? Gray?) when and how to determine the age and quality? Thanks!

My friend that owns his own shop has been using one of those 12 drawer Beach built Mastercrafts ever since he came to Canada in 1988. Every drawer still works perfectly.

I even have a picture of it. You can see a couple of the smaller drawers have the paint worn right through where fingers have hit while using the pulls.

The second combo is a better deal, but the top is not what I would consider portable, even empty. Full depth top boxes are pretty bulky. The first set's top box is a good mix between portability and storage space, looks to be in very good condition to boot.

Scimonetti - I purchased the combo in your second pic back in the mid '70s and it's my favourite amongst several cabinets that I have (Snap-on, International, Craftsman, Husky & Waterloo). That's a great price.
